Hiya! I’m Josie! I’m an actor, dancer, choreographer, and educator! Before you ask, no, I wasn’t named after the iconic redheaded, titular character from Josie and the Pussycats.
I am currently based in Orlando, Florida but I just recently did a lot of work in my hometown, the Fargo-Moorhead area. If you’ve been up in the tundra, you might have recently seen me in Goosebumps: The Musical (Cami) doing some blood-curdling screams, Lend Me a Soprano (Jo) throwing myself around stage, or Junie B. Jones the Musical (Camille) having the time of my life as a first grader. I also choreographed for the FM Community Theatre educational program, working with kids on The Addams Family, Descendants, Little Shop of Horrors, and Grease: School Edition.
Some of my recent, and most favorite works, came from my now alma mater, the University of Texas-Arlington. There I had the incredible opportunity to be in Cabaret (Texas, Sally u/s) and 9 to 5 (Missy, Judy u/s), as well as a choreographer for Romeo and Juliet, associate choreographer for Cabaret and 9 to 5, and an assistant choreographer for Spring Awakening. I also choreographed and performed in multiple works with the Maverick Dance Company.
